United Way of Columbia County has implemented a community-needs fund in response to the COVID-19 shutdown and health crisis.
This fund will continue to swiftly meet the emerging needs of Columbia County residents impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Funds may be used to support our neighbors’ needs such as access to nutrition, access to mental healthcare, shelter, childcare supports, and prescription medication. 100% of contributions given to this fund will be directed to the areas most in need, with no administrative fees deducted. United Way of Columbia County’s Board of Directors will approve funding distribution swiftly and on-going as needs are assessed.
In 2020 funds were released to the following non-profit partners: Amani Center, Rainier Senior Center, Clatskanie Senior Center, Community Action Team: Senior Programs, Community Action Team: Water Program, Columbia Pacific Food Bank, and other unmet needs.
Contributions can be made at www.unitedwayofcolumbiacounty.com, via check, mailed to PO Box 538, Rainier, OR 97048 or by texting CARECOLUMBIA to 4-1-4-4-4. Donors names will be published in the local newspapers.
